There is a growing trend of self-taught, outsider and folk art developing throughout the country. Museum curators and gallery owners in major cities are putting together collections of these unique art forms. In fact, a short while ago Christies conducted its first Outsider Art Auction in New York City.

Church Street Art Gallery has a sizeable inventory of Outsider and Folk art. Uniquely displayed on narrow shelves, the art runs the length of the gallery, allowing 30-40 pieces to be shown at any given time.

In addition to the collection, the Church Street Art Gallery will begin developing emerging artists.
